Rhotic Media receives King’s Award for Enterprise for promoting opportunity

Rhotic Media has been honoured with a King’s Award

Rhotic Media has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise for Promoting Opportunity.

Rhotic Media is one of only 185 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in 2026.

Announced today (Wednesday 6 May), the Award acknowledges the company’s outstanding achievement in promoting opportunity through its approach to talent development and social mobility.

Rhotic Media was founded in 2018 and is a London-based content and marketing agency specialising in financial services. The agency works across capital markets, insurance and personal finance, delivering campaigns and publishing industry titles including Financial Promoter and Capital Pioneer.

Since launch, Rhotic Media has built its business around investing in non-traditional talent, including degree apprenticeships, paid internships and continuous professional development.

This approach has supported the development of talent that has gone on to roles at leading global firms including UBS, Aon and Howden, while delivering work for clients such as Kula, BCB Group and Schroders.

The King’s Award follows a series of recognitions for Rhotic’s apprenticeship model. In 2025, the company was named Apprentice Employer of the Year (small business category) at the UK Apprentice Guide Awards, alongside major employers including Grant Thornton and Lloyds Banking Group.

Rhotic’s apprenticeship programme, launched in 2019, combines academic study with practical, in-house training across financial marketing and sales.

Apprentices' complete programmes in partnership with London South Bank University and Anglia Ruskin University, while contributing directly to client work and business growth.

The company’s investment in learning extends beyond early careers. Rhotic Media also funds ongoing professional development for its wider team, including qualifications through the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), alongside further education for senior staff. This focus on continuous learning is embedded across the business, with employees at all levels expected to develop new skills and expertise throughout their careers.

Joe McGrath, CEO & Founder at Rhotic Media said:

“It is an absolute honour to be recognised by His Majesty in this way. One of the founding principles of Rhotic Media was to advance opportunities for those who may not otherwise have access to them.

Eight years on, we still believe that the best colleagues are those who embrace continuous learning and who refuse to accept their starting point in life should limit of their potential. I’m proud that our team has now been recognised, globally, for supporting clients while also striving to be the very best they can be.”

Previous apprentices have progressed within the business or moved into roles with leading financial services organisations, demonstrating the long-term impact of the programme on both individuals and the wider industry.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed in 2023 to reflect His Majesty The King’s commitment to continuing the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II in celebrating exceptional UK businesses.

Now in its 60th year, the King’s Awards for Enterprise remain the UK’s most prestigious business accolades.

Successful organisations are permitted to use the esteemed King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years, signalling excellence to customers, partners and international markets.
